This offering from the Guji region of Ethiopia is so fresh and so clean. It is exactly what we expect from a high quality washed coffee. It starts with a hint of stone fruit sweetness that morphs into a clean citrus acidity and leaves behind a soft floral undertone. It's complexity rewards patience and it really begins to pop as it cools closer to 120 degrees.

As a leader concerned with both quality and fair payment for local farmers, he's worked hard to create a equal-partner model of payment. The smallholder famers receive premiums on top of the regular cherry price, interest-free loans, improved coffee seedlings, processing equipment, and training – in return for productivity, quality, and sustainability.
