The Gichugu Coffee Factory is located in Emu County, near Mt Kenya. The factory has been  established since the 1970's. Coffee is picked and brought to the factory from the nearby villages of. As well as coffee, most of these small-holder farmers also grow crops of bananas, maize, beans, and macadamia.
