Burundi Kibingo Kayanza Honey is a complex counterpart to the fruit forward natural process. It is the exact same coffee, but the producer put the coffee through a different process at the mill to bring out different flavors in the coffee. The honey processed version of this coffee brings forward a smoother offering with a rich sweetness and pleasing tangerine like acidity when the cup begins to cool. It's worth it to grab both the natural and honey process of this coffee to compare how processing can effect the flavor of the coffee.
Kayanza is one of the most reputable growing regions of Burundi. Soils are rich and volcanic, while the growing conditions are optimal year round. Burundi may not have the reputation of it's more famous coffee producing neighbors Ethiopia and Kenya, but it is producing equally as good coffee.
